Baby Boomers – 5 Tips on Maintaining a Healthy, Active and Productive Lifestyle
By Sherry L Harris

I don’t want to beat around the bush, baby boomers, when I say that your generation is getting older. And, as a result, Boomers have to do more healthy things these days in order to stay on track and live a long and productive life. Here are five great things you can do to maintain health and add years onto your life:

1) Exercise at least twenty minutes each day.
Walking up and down the stairs on your front porch or making your way from your desk to the copy machine at work does not count as exercise. It is important for baby boomers not to shirk exercise, as it provides you with muscle tone, and gives you higher levels of serotonin in the brain. When you feel good after exercising, things will be more in balance overall. You will have more energy to conquer the day, you will have better clarity in order to remember things, and you will feel tired when you should at night.

2) Maintain a well-balanced diet.
Sometimes what we put into our bodies can through us completely off kilter. When we are on the go, we immediately want to delve into pre-packaged snack foods or greasy fast food so we can be on our way. But eventually this catches up with us, because while we think we are saving time, we allow our bodies to feel useless and worn out in the long run. We need to ensure that we get the proper amount of vitamins and nutrients so we have energy to be on the go all day long. This includes protein, calcium and all of the wonderful things that fruits and vegetables can give us.

3) Make lists, and check them twice.
People often think that taking the time to write out our chores and responsibilities is worthless, but ask yourself how often you forget to do menial tasks because they were not right in front of you. By making a list, you can adequately plan out your day. Sure, things do not always go accordingly, but at least you have a valuable outline from which to work. Plus, you have great satisfaction from crossing these tasks out one by one as you accomplish them.

4) Get a good night of sleep.
So often, sleep falls to the wayside, and insomnia becomes a regular part of the baby boomer routine because of other habits we have that throw our bodies out of balance. But ensuring that you take care of your restlessness right when it happens will make you a much healthier person. Try to go to bed at the same time every night, avoid eating near bedtime, and plan on staying asleep for seven to nine hours. You will look and feel so much better the next day.

5) Don’t sweat the small stuff.
This is pretty self-explanatory, but there is no use in placing undue stress upon the body. All this will do is raise our blood pressure and make us frazzled. Prioritize and realize that some aspects of our lives are not worth getting upset about.

Baby Boomer Bombshells – Dating Advice For Women in Mid-Life
By Ronnie Ann Ryan

Move Over Gals in Your 20′s and 30′s
Flirtatious fun is not just for the young anymore. There’s a new group of hot women hitting the singles scene. Who are these lovelies? They are sexy, single women in their 40′s and 50′s – baby boomer bombshells who are looking for love and can still take a man’s breath away.

How do they do it? There are as many strategies to maintain looks and “hottie” status as there are people to take advantage of them. But here are some highlights to choose from and most can be followed by anyone.

Be the Real You
Gina’s method for sustaining her considerable allure stems from the way she feels about herself. She says when she hit her forties, she stopped caring so much about what other people thought of her and finally gave herself permission to just be herself. Now 53, if she feels like being an outrageous flirt, she simply does it. “I gave up second guessing myself all the time and have really moved into being the real me. No more holding back, I express who I am!” Gina said proudly.

With a playful spirit, Gina glows with a confidence that only comes with experience. This translates into a woman who is spontaneous and exciting. Of course she keeps herself up too with flattering clothes, natural-looking make up and a raucous head of red hair tumbling over her shoulders. Heads still turned when Gina walked back to the bar for another beverage.

Look Your Feminine Best
Sandy insists her 40′s and 50′s have been her sexiest years yet! She’s grown comfortable with her body even though there are a few little “wrinkles and rolls.” I make the most of what I’ve got and enjoy flaunting it a little” Sandy said with a sassy wink. She loves the styles that are in fashion currently and usually wears something a bit low cut and very feminine.

Let’s face it – Sandy enjoys being a woman. “I’ve always loved getting dolled up and now that I’m single again, I’m having a ball!” she exclaimed. She exudes a sensual femininity that she really owns. Sandy says men notice and approach her frequently because she let’s them know she’s open to them. “I ‘make eyes’ at men and it works almost every time.” she admits with girlish delight.

Take Care of Yourself
“It’s all about how you take care of yourself,” says Cheryl, 49 and fabulous. She works out on a regular basis, eats well, and indulges in professional spa treatments. Plus, Cheryl dances up a storm in ballroom competitions. “The joy that dancing brings me is almost immeasurable. I love it! When I’m dancing, I’m on top of the world.”

Partaking in her passion certainly agrees with Cheryl and it shows in the way she presents herself to the world. She is slender, toned, and ready for a twirl as she stands by the edge of the dance floor, tapping her foot to the music.

Cosmetic Options
Tiffany’s approach is a more bit expensive. Looking at her, it’s hard to gauge her age. “I’ve had a little work done and now when I look in the mirror, I like what I see. It’s been one of my best investments.” Tiffany revealed in a hushed voiced with a secretive smile.

Today there are many treatments available, from injections like Botox and collagen, to the nip and tuck of the knife. Tiffany is thrilled with her results and says her self-confidence has tripled. “It’s funny, but now I feel so much less self-conscious and free to do and say things that I would never have considered before.” Of course cosmetic surgery is a serious choice and isn’t for everyone.

Vibrantly Alive and Looking for Love
Whether you choose a new wardrobe or hairstyle, start working out, stop worrying about what other people think or consider more extensive measures, building your confidence and enjoying single life are very possible during the “middle years.” Clearly these women in their 40′s and 50′s aren’t living their days as shy wallflowers, but are vibrantly alive, meeting new people and making the most of today’s adult single scene to find the love they want.

Discover 10 reasons why a woman should never pay on the first date when you subscribe to the Kiss & Tell newsletter at www.MANifestingMrRight.com And learn savvy dating strategies to find love after 35 in the book MANifesting Mr. Right It’s Never Too Late to Find the Love You Want by Dating Coach and expert Ronnie Ann Ryan.

Dating Online – 5 Steps To Create Desire & Provoke Response With Email Limitations
By Jan Verhoeff

Are you having fun with online dating options? Sometimes the ‘average kind of fun’ gets out of hand and you wonder if there isn’t something better. Living in a small town has advantages, and drawbacks. The boys next door are all taken, and those who aren’t probably aren’t interested in a single girl next door with a house full of kids.

Reality being what it is you accept the challenge and step out – online.

1. Be Honest

Photo magic offers mystical illusion, but if it ain’t you in the photo, don’t use it. Be real. No, you may not get the glamour seeking stud bucket from last year’s Stud Calendar, but you’ll get something better, a real person who is really interested in you. Who you are is important. You deserve a response from people who care about you, not some imaginary illusion. Be yourself.

2. Be Specific

Give enough information to draw interest, but not so much that interested parties are pushed away by too many details. You’re going to be a little bit different to others than you perceive yourself to be. Leave a little room for growth and change. You will.

3. Be Direct

Write to one specific person. Write your information for one specific person who is out there waiting just for you. He or she will be the perfect person for you, maybe not PERFECT, but perfect for you. That’s important. You know there’s a person out there who’s looking for you and that person has a lot to offer you. Just the same as you have a great deal to offer that one person. Write your ad to that one person.

4. Be Open

Just because your last guy was the perfect height and weight, and his blue eyes complimented your green gems doesn’t mean the next guy needs to be identical. Leave room for independence and differences. You’ll want the same opportunities. Give your Mr. Perfect room to exist in his own realm. Your version of Brad Pitt may be a much better George Clooney. Be open to other options.

5. Be Available

Have a life, be involved and be active in your community, but leave a little room in your life for love, laughter and living with another person. People who are too busy for love won’t find it. You might even want to be actively pursuing some activities you can share with a significant other, like walks in the park, biking the ridge, or watching movies on the weekend. If you’re already a fan of Breve Cremes at the local coffee shop, you’ll have a reason to meet for coffee. Be available for dates.

Are you ready to find romance and opportunity on the Internet?

Valentine’s Day Gifts – Love Baskets with Meaning & Value
By Jan Verhoeff

Put some snap in your Valentine’s Day Gift with a Love Basket created just for your favorite Sweetheart! You’ll enjoy the results, and your lover will know you mean it when she hears those three precious words. Love Baskets are created once and used for a lifetime. Just start with a medium sized basket, lid is optional, but the handle is necessary. You’ll want a nice sturdy handle!

Step #1 – Line your Love Basket

The liner is important, because you’ll use the liner often for other purposes. One of the best liner choices is a patterned cloth in a smooth weave with a hemmed edge. This can be one layer or reversible, but you’ll want something nice and soft. Remember your lover’s tastes when choosing the pattern, but think romance.

Step #2 – Love Basket Essentials

A set of crystal goblets meant for two. If by some chance you have a set from your wedding, you can use those. Or if not, buy a nice set of stemmed and fluted goblets from the store and tie a pretty ribbon around the stem. Add a bottle of your favorite bubbly (non-alcoholic grape juice is a nice alternative) and some white linen napkins. You now have the essentials for your basket, everything from this point on is optional, but you’ll want to consider filling it up.

Step #3 – Setting the Scene

Table service and flatware for two is always a nice additional touch. You never know when that scene might include a wonderful menu to share. There are some nice simple dishes you could add to your basket at any discount center, just select the ones you find most appealing, add silverware and a sharp knife with a cover and you’re set for almost any dining experience.

Step #4 – Ambiance?

Candles are a wonderful touch. Scented candles in a glass jar add an extra special ambiance to your love basket. Perhaps you’d like to include an aroma that brings back memories of your first night together. I’d almost bet it’s vanilla. Take a chance! Add in bath beads, salts, and bubbles if you expect to make a romantic evening of your Love Basket experience.

Step #5 – Frivolous Accessories

A slinky negligee for her, perhaps some boxers for him? Matching silk robes? Perhaps you’ll want to skip the clothing and just get matching top hats? Whatever accessories you might choose, consider your personal choices and think from your lover’s perspective. What might she appreciate?

Step #6 – Yummies

These can be anything from a full five course meal to decadent snacks, but I’d recommend for the first basket, you consider chocolates, gourmet foods, or delicate confections. Consider your plans for the evening and buy goodies accordingly. Perhaps dried fruits dipped in chocolate with an accompaniment of cheese and bread? Be original, be decadent, be romantic.

Step #7 – The Gift

Diamonds are nice. Sapphires twinkle. Rubies and Emeralds leave a lasting impression. If you haven’t thought of the gift for your favorite love, this is the moment to seriously consider the gift you’ll include in the Love Basket. No, the basket itself is the wrapping, not the ultimate gift. Wow your lady with diamonds!

If you haven’t decided what to give your love for Valentine’s Day yet, this is an awesome and reusable gift. Just refill for special evenings all year long. The Love Basket might even become a romantic tradition.

Gift Baskets To Share Your Love And Happiness
By Gail Leino

Gift Baskets are an excellent way to share your love and happiness. As a trend, gifts are mostly handed out in gift wrappers and gift packs, but another very interesting way to hand out the gifts is a Gift Basket. Gift baskets can be presented on many different events and occasions such as New Born Baby, Anniversary, Congratulations Party, Wedding, etc. The Gift Baskets are decorated in many different ways and they can be made at home as well as can be bought from the stores.

If you are buying or making a gift basket, you can learn different ways as to how to arrange the different items in the Gift Basket. If you have different items that are of different sizes, then it is best that you adjust the bigger items in the center or at the back of the Gift Basket as it will give the basket a pyramid look. You can also adjust the different gifts according to the shapes that you come up through your imagination. While buying a gift basket, make sure that your basket must be bigger than the gift items that you are going to set in.

When you are packing up the items in the Gift Basket, make sure that you are filling the Gift Basket with the shredded paper. You can also use tissue paper, plastic grass, raffia or crinkled paper to fill your basket other than the shredded paper. It is wise to apply clear tape at the bottom of the Gift Basket so as to secure it, as sometimes with the weight of the gifts, the lower part of the basket gives away. You can cover the Gift Basket with the cellophane paper and tie it together with a twist tie and at the end add a bow to make sure that your basket is totally secured.

Mrs. Party… Gail Leino takes a common sense approach to planning and organizing events, celebrations and holiday parties with unique ideas for gift baskets and fun party games. She explains proper etiquette and living a healthy life while also teaching organizational skills and fun facts. The Party Supplies Hut has lots of party ideas with hundreds of free holiday printable games and free birthday party activities. Over 100 adorable Themes including Party Supplies to fit your birthday celebration, holiday event, or “just because” parties.

50 Ways to Screen Your Lover
By David Armaan

When it comes to romantic expertise, most of us are very much like the weatherman. We are wrong more then half the time, but still consider ourselves competent. This is fine for the under 25 year old for whom a change of lovers is a fashion statement.

However, we mature lovers know that blind dates can be tragically messy time wasters. So now…cautious efficiency has to be our modus operandi. We must be determined to approach our love life with a task oriented mindset. We finally have our professional lives in order and must recognize that adolescent exuberance doesn’t work in matters of romance.

Our quest for a truly compatible partner has to happen from the head down-not the crouch up. We must be focused. To be focused we must know what we want from the door. In love… failure to plan is planning to fail.

There is no shortage of advice columns and so called gurus who profess to have the magic formula for connubial bliss. However, even our gurus turn out to be bogus. Good ole boy Dr.Phil is a philandering player with a taste for sweet young things. Dr. Kenneth Clark is a tired stiff with the credibility of Gomer Pyle. Lately, even our evangelist seem to have exceptionally colorful personal lives. “Forgive me for I have sinned…again!

Then there is the Guru of Gurus- Oprah who after testing the waters with Stedman for over 20 years …now resides with her best friend.

Mmm…ponder that.

She openly states marriage is not a option for her; although she says it’s a fine choice for others.

Since none of us ever make it through the countless preachy self-help books;I am happy to share the concise quintessential lover’s guide.
Motivation is not enough. We need new rules. We require a lover’s handbook if you will, to help us navigate these murky waters.

So now…finally, 50 killer questions to qualify or dismiss your potential lover. Please-don’t thank me, just send US currency- euros and yuans are fine too.

To further simplify matters, I have broken down these inquiries into 5 categories.

Yesss, now you can dramatically improve your chances for success in less then 30 minutes by contemplating my amazing insights. You don’t have to say Amen!.. and I promise I don’t own one white suit.

What I am sharing has been gleaned from years of therapeutic intervention and of course my personal trials and tribulations.

“Everybody plays the fool; no exception to the rule” is a fitting soundtrack for those of us who have been a bit unlucky in love. The idea is to take the luck factor out of our pursuit of romantic happiness.

I should add that I have spoken to many hungry hearts; who say they don’t really need to get too deep or proactive to find their life partner. They say they will know their “soulmate” by the glint in their eyes, the music in their voice, the glide of their stride, and so on. Some believe that God will simply deliver their mate. For these optimistic lazy lovers, all I can say is- say no to Prozac.

This quick guide is not for doe-eyed dreamers; but for those of us who have suffered the slings and arrows of cupid gone wild. We are well grounded in reality and know that there is no magic carpet ride to love.

So now you can put this out there as a fun- entertaining exercise. We mature lovers hate wasting time..now don’t we? Think of this handy quiz as a time saving checklist. Have fun and screen with care!

Dating Over 40 Successfully – How To Get What You Want From Dating
By William Clarke III

Are you still playing the field but want a monogamous relationship? With the number of divorced women over forty, you may think they don’t want to be married, or they don’t want monogamous, but the reality is they don’t want demanding irrational relationships that don’t last. And, SURPRISE, men over forty want the same thing.

Over forty relationships will be successful with mature, capable individuals who want to share life together and each have viable lives of their own. Are you ready for some solid sound advice on meeting your one and only over 40?

1. Be real.

Nobody expects you to be perfect. You can actually have a few personality flaws, a belly, or a butt and your over 40 partner will not only accept you with it, but love you for it. If you’re not perfect, they can be real too.

2. Don’t compete.

Who wants competition? What ever happened to just being comfortable within your own skin? Can you honestly say you want to compete with Barbie or Ken? If you’re comfortable with who you are then your date can just relax and enjoy the evening without feeling the need to compete with who you want to be.

3. Know what you want.

If you agree to a date with a city boy knowing nothing less than Farmer John Brown will satisfy you, you’ve got a problem from the beginning. Select people you have something in common with, but acknowledge that you don’t have to be joined at the hip.

4. Accept independence.

Find some mutual interests, but understand that you both have a past and you both have a future. Be willing to share the future but realize you can’t and won’t want to share everything. Accept the differences as benefits and appreciate your time alone or with friends too.

5. Quality.

After you reach 40 you’re allowed to expect quality from the person on the other side of the table. You should be able to carry a conversation, understand basic concepts, and comprehend current events. Intelligence and Values are part of the package, if you don’t have them, you won’t obtain them in the future.

6. Past.

You both have a past, you have children, family, and friends, and you should be able to mutually share those without having to compete over whose family is better, or loves them more. You just have them, and you share them. Period.

7. Religion, Politics, and Sex.

Yes, dear, these are topics of conversation and you’re expected to participate as a mature adult with an opinion, not a temper tantrum. If you can’t discuss these topics and keep a cool head, you might want to find out why and have that part of your anatomy surgically removed.

Why Baby Boomers Are Changing The Face Of Online Dating
By Gary Kelly

Many baby boomers see themselves as trendsetters. This is great news for online dating sites and the industry itself.

The Associated Press recently reported, “Half of all people ages 40 to 69 are either divorced or separated, and 30 percent have never married. Baby boomers are turning to the Internet, speed dating or the old fashioned hook-up for companionship.”

Many dating websites now report that the over 50 crowd makes up one of the fastest growing segments in the online dating world. In referring to online dating, Stephanie Coontz, a family historian of the Evergreen State College in Washington recently said, “people in their 40s and 50s don’t want to be hanging out at bars. Now they have access to this incredible pool of single people their age.”

Boomers find online dating very convenient. They have less hang-ups about meeting people online then the generation before them. They appear to be more comfortable with themselves and realize how convenient online dating can be. They don’t necessarily turn to online dating as the only way to meet people, but they certainly see the convenience of adding online dating as a way of complementing the more traditional ways of meeting new people.

How will baby boomers change the face of online dating?

Baby boomers will change the online dating industry through their expectations of customer service levels and their honesty about themselves.

Two of the biggest criticisms of online dating are the level of customer service members receive from individual dating websites and wondering if the profiles that are posted on many of the sites, are real or fake.

Boomers have come to expect first class customer service. They will not tolerate poor customer service from an online dating website site that charges them a monthly fee while not providing an easy way to access customer service. They will not tolerate dating websites that clearly do not have contact information posted. Baby boomers will not tolerate having their credit card charged for membership renewals without their consent.

This is a good thing because it will force online dating websites to increase their level of customer service to attract the disposable income that comes from dealing with baby boomers. In order to attract baby boomers, online dating websites must do a better job of meeting the needs of this very important customer base. Baby boomers expectations will increase the overall customer service level of the online dating industry.

Baby boomers are also very comfortable about who they are as a group. Many baby boomers are past the “I care what other people think” stage of their lives. They are more interested in doing what they think is right for them. They are more honest about themselves and expect the same from others.

With this freedom, baby boomers appear more likely to post their real pictures online.

Baby boomers also appear to be less tolerant of other people who misrepresent themselves online. Because they are comfortable with themselves, they are less likely to jump right in to a relationship. They are less likely to believe they must act now.

People who post a real picture and real description about themselves in their profiles are more likely to have success with online dating.

Hopefully, this will become the standard for the industry.

An increase in customer service and an increase in honesty can only be good for online dating members and the industry itself.
